To help offset the costs of unexpected vet bills and give you peace of mind, many companies offer pet health insurance.

We encourage you to find a plan that fits your budget and your pet's lifestyle best by doing your research. To help you get started, we've collected some resources that can aid in your decision-making process.

Pampering isn’t just for humans!

Some may look at pets as just animals, but we surely don’t! Pets are our family members, and just like anyone in your family, they need attention and proper care to maintain health!

Regular pet grooming helps with numerous benifits for their health and happiness!

A good way to look at pet grooming is a pet’s version of a spa day or self-care day! Help your furry friend feel and look their best! There are many groomers around CT; mobile and stationary. Some animals require more maintenance than others with fur type and/or how quickly their nails grow, etc.

BENEFITS OF GROOMING

  • Improved skin and coat health

  • Bonding and mental stimulation

  • Reduce shedding and allergens

  • Helps reduce possible injuries

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GROOM MY PET?

Regular grooming depends on various factors.

  1. type of pet

  2. breed

  3. coat length

  4. activity level

Generally dog and cats require nail trims around 6-8 +/- weeks as a maintenance. Some pets require more frequently based off of activity level or structure of the nails. Professionals can help your pet get on a good schedule!

HOW TO PREPARE MY PET FOR A GROOMING SESSION

Since Elite Pet Services come to your home, and preform services inside/ outside, all we ask is for you to keep outdoor pets inside the day of your appointment. If your cat is skittish around new people or will hide, it is best to keep them inside a room where they can not get in hard to reach places, or in a carrier when we arrive!

PLEASE NOTE: ELITE PET SERVICES IS NOT A FULL GROOMING SERVICE, THERE IS NO BATHING INVOLVED OR HAIRCUTS OTHER THAN SANITARY TRIMS.
